About Groundsix
From the founder
Macaulay King
Founder
I'm Macaulay. I came into this trade on the tools, job after job, until you can tell from the ground whether a finish will last.
After watching too many gardens undone by rushed preparation, I started Groundsix in 2013. Same East Sussex team, same standard: drainage, levels and materials done properly, whether it's a family patio or a full garden.
I still walk every job. If the dates, the ground or the brief isn't right, I'd rather say so up front than send the lads onto something we can't stand behind. You live with this space every day. Someone has to make sure it's built true.
